The other day when I was washing the car, I noticed a slight haze starting around the top of the headdlight covers. It is definitely on the inside of the assembly. I was just wondering if anyone is getting this to any extent. Right now it is not terrible, but I don't know if it will get any worse. And, if it does what should be done about it. I'm very reluctant to even try to take them apart since I would think that it is a sealed assembly and would invite other problems if opened up.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Take it to the dealer, it should be covered under the factory warranty.

I had the same problem on my '03 Coupe.I took it to the dealer, expecting to have the lenses replaced under warranty.Unbelieveably, the service manager proved to me that the hazing is on the OUTSIDE of the lens.A good plastic polish such as Meguiar's will make them look like new.

You may be on to something here... I had what I thought was hazing, but corrected it with some Novus plastic cleaner. I figured later on the haze starts on the inside though...

I will take a look at it more closely and try some polish on it to see if it makes a difference. I will post my results and let you know what happens.

Okay, I came home today and tried using a good polish on the lenses...and to my surprise, the haze was gone!! Manny, you were right, the haze was on the outside, not on the inside! Well, I guess the only way I'm going to get projectors is to trade in my '04 to an '06 Anyway, as they say: As our circle of knowledge increases, so does the circumference of the unknown (probably exponentially).

Take care All!!

I know this is old but I have a new tip

I was using the mothers plastic polish but the haze didn't take long to come back....so....I took a chance and used my rubbing compound on the headlights and then the plastic polish...the rubbing compound just acts as a slightly more aggresive polish and the plastic polish finishes it off....well my headlights look better then ever and the lights aren't hazing up like they used to

I've used a 3M plastic polish on headlights before and was amazed at the difference it made! Got mine at Napa

If you use a polish and the haze doesn't go away, its a crack in the lens.
