My left headlight lens had a little haze on the to right corner, but nothing major so I purchased this stuff called "headlight lens restorer by Blue Magic" I applied 5 application and used a buffer in between each app and what a difference, no more haze, plus the lenses are more clear and clean . I turned the headlights on to make sure it was haze free. It looks as if I used a hi grit sand paper on them. I've actually used hi grit sand paper on a previous car, so I remember the smooth clear finish. Definately(sp) use a hi speed buffer then follow over it with a soft towel to remove any left over resudue.

I've considered using some 3m rubbing compound to knock out those fine lines on the lenses. What do you all think?

I'd say "Great Work" for sure. Looks like I need to find a source and do this work too!

Thanks!

I originally went into AutoZone looking for something called "CV headlite restorer/defogger" and was directed to the Blue Magic headlite lens restorer.

After my girlfriend saw mine she wanted me to get working on her bezn right away!

oh oh !!!! please open your hood while doing this.

it just makes it easier to polish and buff. just my personal preference, so I thought I'd pass it on.

use the 3m

then go buy a thin vinyl film and cut a layout for the headlights and place over it.

This is only a bit more expensive, but far easier: http://www.stongard.com/products.aspx.

They offer pre-cut items for your glass and car and are well worth it, I am told.

From what I know these guys don't have headlight protection films. It is a diferent product that you should use for the headlights.

I used 3M and I am very happy with it. The cost was arounnd $400 for the whole bumper and extended hood.
