Well according to the factory manual for a 97 model.the front left is L/w(+) and L/y(-)the front right is Br(+) and Br/w(-)the rear left is R(+0) and G(-)the rear right is L(+) and P(-)I guess you can figure out the colors from the letters.Hope this helps. Also this is for the 4 speaker systems

forget that.

Go to best buy and buy an adapter so your don't have to cut your stock harness. I'm serious.

If you decide to buy adapters, buy them online at places like ebay. I almost had to pay 30 bucks at Circuit City to buy the car harness and the stereo harness. It's nice to have the adapter if you don't want to have the trouble when switching your stereo with a new one, but if you're a good DIY, then there's no trouble, but it's a bit time consuming. Make sure you disconnect the battery though!

http://www.installdr.com should have the wiring info you need.

I just don't like wiring lol. I can do it, but why if I can just go out and buy a 15 dollar adapter and have the installation be relatively plug and play.

Yeah, if I weren't such a cheap ***, I'd have done that... actually I WAS going to do that, but the previous stereo was hardwired so I already lost the factory harness... think of it this way though. The money spent on the harness can be spent on other better things! :)

I like the harnesses, beacause that way the wires don't get shorter everytime you swap your headunit for a new one with the latest features.have fun, rock on!
