Okay, I've been experiencing something weird with my car lately. Sometimes my car will start and sometimes it won't. The times it doesn't start, the car goes completely dead. Lights turn off, dash turns off, radio doesn't turn on, and there is no cranking. The weirdest part, however, is if I wait about 2 minutes, the car starts magically and runs great. Also, I've noticed that this happens mostly during hot weather. Any suggestions as to why this may be happening?

Something wrong with the positive line off of the battery. When it's hot a hair line fracture in the line may separate, thus causing a loss of power. Since your car doesn't die when running, it kind of isolates it to the battery/battery lines/ignition switch/or something along those lines, because when the car is running it can run off of the alternator. I don't know, just a thought. Get a multimeter and check for high ohms in your power lines. High ohms = lots of resistance = broken line...
