what do you mean your transmission is slipping? it is very very hard to make the reinforced steel belt to slip...have you got all the recalls taken care of?1BluCoupe wrote:I got my 08 2.5 coupe in november and just yesterday the transmision is slipping. from a stop i have to floor it and then maybe it will start to move in 10-20 secs. i really need some help guys. anyone think i could just get a mt to put in it???
Forget that! I would take it to them and demand a loaner. We are talking about a brand new car that is going to need a new transmission (if it's the same issue as mine). Don't let them make you wait. They will probably change their tune once they get in and drive it. The service guy I had go on a test drive with me was speechless by the time we got back to the dealer (almost didn't make it back). I didn't even have to ask for a loaner, he was offering me one as we pulled up.1BluCoupe wrote:yea i called them today and they cant do anything till monday. but yea its like it goes in and out of gear when its not supposed to. like it goes between neutral and drive while driving. it even does it while goin down the road...
Seems like it isn't normal; mine doesn't do it. But man, 2brian0, you had to get your transmission and TCM replaced with only 80 miles? I assume you haven't had any issues with the new units right?skiski329 wrote:i don't know if this is normal or not that is why i have not brought it up (also i like the cvt a LOT) when i am slowing down applying the brakes (when it is dry or wet) when i get to about 20mph it almost feels like i hit a wall, i think it is a jerk but it is a rapid slow down. is that normal ?
thats because the torque converter engages at 18 mph, it says it clear in the manualskiski329 wrote:i don't know if this is normal or not that is why i have not brought it up (also i like the cvt a LOT) when i am slowing down applying the brakes (when it is dry or wet) when i get to about 20mph it almost feels like i hit a wall, i think it is a jerk but it is a rapid slow down. is that normal ?
