Ok, mabye I am a moron. I tried sleepy eye and it seems that the lights jsut shine down and don't give me anywhere NEAR the light I need to drive. How do so many people do this and still drive at night? Do you change the angle of the actual light or mabye some fog/driving lights? I like the look, but I like seeing what is in front of me even more!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the only way you can get TRUE sleepy eye at night and still have full visibility is to get that kit, I'm sure someone on here has the link.

The Pivot one? But how does it manipulate the angle of teh actual bulb? I understood it to simply be a resistor that allowed the headlights to pop up only so far....?

Yeah, that's what the Pivot is, I meant the headlight conversion kit. The low-profile headlight one....

So what about the thousands of other people across the world that have sleepy eys on S13, FC, SW20, FD, etc. What do they do? Everyone has the conversion? There has to bea trick/secret to this!

LOL its not meant as a daily driver setup. It just looks cool and supposedly lets air into the engine bay without having the lights ALL the way up (bad aerodynamics hehe), more for like day time/track. IT WAS NEVER MEANT TO BE DRIVEN AT NIGHT LIKE THAT!

HAHAHAHA $1500? I think that a Silvia front end for that price would look much cooler (even for a Sil80)

Am I the only one here who actually likes the look of the pop-ups better than the Silvia projectors?

Dear God I hope not.

I like that one 240Z front on the 180SX, that was the best looking. Next best is the S13 silvia lights. To me at least.

BTW-S13GUY: what seller would do it for cheap??? =)

i think the silvia lights look good on a sylvia/coupe, but i think the pop up lights look better on a 180sx/fastback.

I drive with them on at night, but i drive on the main strip thats all lit up so I can see fine but when i get off the main road i pop em all the way up. BTW they look bada$$ at night it lights up the whole front end. An no I dont get outta my car an turn the motors all the time, I have a switch hooked up too the lights so I can control how high they go.

I guess I need to build or buy a controller so that I can change the pop up'ed-ness.

John, bite me;)
