hey guys

I'm having a problem with my aac valve, it makes my car rev up by itself (up to 3k and stays idle there). when the aac is unplugged the car idles perfect .i just ordered another aac and installed it yesterday, same thing.

can anyone help me out ????

Is the ECU throwing any codes? Is the Throttle body clean? are there any vacuum leaks? There is also a part called the idle control valve or soemthing like that between the intake mani and the block, its hard to reach but you can see vacuum lines going to it. A common problem on the RB20's is that the spring inside comes loose and causes the car to idle super high, mine used to idle at 1800 before I hooked the spring back and cleaned it out. The other thing is, whenever you mess with any of the idle controls reset the ECU, the FSM has a process outlined.

By the IACV you mean the Air Regulator under the T-body right??

It still didn't work?????Then its gotta be the wiring.Pull up the FSM and start probing.Get a multimeter or if you want you can borrow mine this weekend.

Also you going to Moroso this weekend? There's a Z meet at Dave and Busters too

bring you ECU's so that i can test if its the computer, so if that doesnt work then definitely it's the wiring

hey guys

other than my little problem of the aac, I figured i would find out if my swap was succesfull, i let it run with the aac disconected and i moved the car around i let it sit and there is no overheating, no vale tick, sounds great!!

all i need now is to finish the dump pipe and connect the tunabi exhaust...

although im still worried about the aac problem, i fiigure it had no problem unplugged so ill drive it like that for now until i can figure out the deal with it!!

so if you guys get any ideas , let me know....

im going to post my pic of the motor when i get it cleaned up..

thanks guys

Chris you are a lazy bastard!!!!Take your culo to radio shack go buy a multimeter.

http://www.radioshack.com/prod...earch

Test the AAC wires.I found the that my Maf grounds are shorted.

You already have another AAC valve which I know worked. Mo's car idled. You tried my MAF. Which worked just like your MAF.Stop trying to throw parts at it.!!!

Do you really think another MAF and another AAC valve will magically make your car run?

If you need the FSM I will re-load Adobe on my computer so I can read you the wires.

Did you ever find the problem? My car has similar symptoms. Crank it up and it jumps to about 1900 says there for about 2-4 minutes reaches operating temp. and starts fluctuating from about 1100-1900 tried unplugging the AAC nothing, no codes, tried two MAFS, no boost leaks, and have clean the throttle body.

What is the FSM? I'm up here in Cntrl FL just got the car and would love to get it running right. Just bought a multimeter to start probing, but don't now where to start.
