i bought a 93 240sx base model with the ka24de engine in it all of a sudden its acting weird like it revs fine if i some what medium pace hit the gas but when i punch it it acts like it is going to die and stays at that rpm for a little bit then slowly goes up. now me and my brother have been trying to single it out and we think its air or fuel perhaps spark but not too sure on the one but it seems as if its flooding itself. i was looking through the engine and i found 2 old fuel injectors in the bay so that told me that they were changed..if they cahnged them to a fuel injector that had too much flow would it do that...to explain again it when you punch it it spudders and sounds like its going to die but it drives just fine if your not trying to hit it anyhelp and suggestion would be greatly appreciated i am stumped on what it may be also for the MAF sensor it has 4 prongs on the main thing but on my cord it only has 3 and apears its missing one? anyway thankyou for help - Brad Cooch

uhh im not an expert but i think it might be the plugs or wires, that would make sense for what your saying, easy load is ok, heavy load sputters, ive had it happen before and thats what mine was.

The MAF connector is fine, both of my KA engine MAF's set up the same way, thats not to say that the MAF itself could be bad. To me sounds like a air flow problem. But I could be way off base, just my two cents

The maf may be bad. Will it rev all the way to redline at idle in neutral. If it has problems going past 2500 rpms I would say that's definately your maf. other than that I'm stumped.

well if its still stock ti wont over fload it self cause it wasnt designed that way . it could be the electical problem like check the spark plug wires, plugs, ignitors, and soo on .or it could be that its not getting enough fuel. so u could try checking the fuel delivery . fuel pump , fuel filter, and so on..try running some fuel cleaning products if thats the problem..like http://www.berrymanproducts.com... use the 123 kit .they sell it at auto zone.

hmmm u know what i kinda had that same problem when i bought my 240 .it wouldnt go when i floored it and spudders and then it would go... i found out also that it wouldnt pass smog too.. i have a question does your car pass smog..? i fixed my problem with an old trick. go on ebay and buy this-->circle earth grounding .it shouldnt cost more then 30bucks and if your paying more then that then ahahha. well any way i intalled my special grounding system and the spuddering went away ! but still kinda spudders a lil but then i use the berrymanproducts 123 kit and b12 fuel system cleaner and i passed smog and i got the spuddering too stop too ..and now my car runs like a bad out of hell ...hope that might of helped
