MY clutch pedal has no pressure and is going straight to the floor. The pedal had little pressure before and i would have to give it a couple pumps before being able to put it into gear. when i went under the car to look at the slave cylinder, i had my friend push the clutch in and it seems that the clutch fork is not depressing the plunger on the slave cyl. far enough. I used my hand to move the plunger in and out all the way and it would go in and slowly come back out. after doing this i realized it was making my master cylinder overflow and now the clutch pedal is completely dead and stuck to the floor unless i lift it up. i have no idea what is wrong. there was no signs of prior leak on the slave cyl. and the master was full to the rim. :wtf2: please help

so i just talked to my friend and he said me pushing the slave cyl plunger all the way in hyper extended it and hydrolocked the fluid between the 2 cyls which would require a new slave, however was it broken before because prior to me pushing it in my friend hit the clutch and it was barely moving forward or backward

also does the clutch fork push the slave cyl in mechanically or hydraulically because im not sure if that was pushing on the slave cyl too hard to begin with. or would tht also lie in a fluid problem.?

Its probably your master Cylinder. Pushing in the slave cylinder like you did should have no ill effect. The clutch system is hydraulic, pedal pushes master cyl, which pushes brake fluid through the lines to the slave. The slave pushes the fork which is attached to a pivot, which pushes a bearing to the little fingers on a pressure plate. Nothing mechanical about it.

I would replace both master and slave, cause when one goes out, usually the other is right behind it. After replacing, bleed the system, cause air in the system will cause a spongey pedal, and is definitely no fun.

i purchased a dorman slave cyl for 13 bucks and tried that and a bleed and ive been missing out for so long lol clutch pedal is so solid and what i thought was a clutch that was on its way out is in better than ever function. I was going to get an oem part but the dealer said a week and courtesyparts.com would also take a minute to get here and i couldnt have my car stuck in its spot for that long. if it acts up ill get oem.
