having clutch and shifter problems.

my clutch pedal has alot of play. when you push it down to the floor you get minor slave cylinder piston movement (about 3/4 inch) my clutch pedal will not kick back to its full position and only has pressure for the last 5 or 6 inches,maybe less.that would most likely seem to be the lines or pedal right??i dont know.when i push the pedal to the floor the shifter wont go into gear at all,it doesnt even grind gears. its just like pushing against a wall. it goes into gear when the car is off but when its ont heres no chance.if you could tell me if you know what the problem might be and how to fix it that would be awsome thanks.

so when you push on the pedal, is the clutch slave cylinder even moving the fork at all?

Sounds like to me you have a bad slave cylinder. You can try bleeding the system first to make sure there are no leaks letting air into the lines, but if that slave cylinder is not moving, or moving very little then that is probably the culprit.

I had the same problem, check your clutch master cyl, slave cyl, and bypass the clutch dampener and bleed the system good.

The slave cylinder is relatively new as well. i doubt i have any leaks in my lines because my clutch master cylinder is full and has been full for as long as i can remember. do you have any other suggestions or ways i might be able to fix or check it
