The only thing not eating and sleeping is gonna do to you is make you sick. I say you get blazed, eat, get laid by some random hot chick and forget about your women troubles. If I recall correctly, you're only like 18. NOONE should ever make you want to subject yourself to pain/harm which is precisely what will happen as a result of your starvation. Too many people out there to be hung up on one.

I'm not eating because I have NO APPETITE. The reasons behind not having an appetite don't matter, but I'm not going to eat if I can't keep it down in the first place. It has nothing to do with common sense.

a few years ago i broke up with a girl i was with for 8 years!! it was horrible,,,there was a month or two where i hardly ate at all, and drank myself to sleep every night!!!! lost all kinds of weight, which actually turned out to be good cause i needed to lose, like 20 pounds!!! LOL

she eventually came back, begging, and i slammed the door (well, slammed it the following morning!!!! LOL) hang in there brother,,,it doesn't seem like it now,,but things will get better. trust me!

zero.. i do the same thing when i've got emotional crap going on.. I just dont get hungry. In the interest of not dieing you might want to try drinking some juice or soda. Something with some weight to it..

When girls piss me off that bad, I tend to just grab a beer and go relax to get my mind off of things. Beer = Liquid Bread.... so that's technically eating, right?

Jesda, I don't either. Its not a choice, its just my reaction to things when they get pretty bad. And no, not even a hot meal will make me happy when I'm under emotional stress.

As usual, Native Americans always have something wise to say regarding any and every situation. Here's a helpful little anecdote that might put things into perspective regarding dealing with a traumatic/stressful situation:

Two Wolves A Native American grandfather was talking to his grandson about his feelings after the attacks. He said, "I feel as if I have two wolves fighting in my heart. One wolf is the vengeful, angry, violent one. The other wolf is the loving, compassionate one." The grandson asked him, "Which wolf will win the fight in your heart?" The grandfather answered, "The one that I feed."

Jesda, I disagree that your "reaction" isn't a choice. Your body is a living organism that requires food.... when you upset that balance by starving yourself, it only makes the entire cycle worse. You're only feeding fuel to the fire. How can you feel better emotionally when you feel like **** physically? They're closely related. Try "feeding" the right emotions to yourself, as the anecdote above states. You're only perpetuating the negative situation.

Granted, but its not that I choose not to eat. It doesn't happen very often, but when it gets to the point where I can't take the situation anymore and don't know how to resolve it (only goes for relationships), it seems that I just shut down. I don't consciously make the choice...it just happens.

But your advice is well warranted and is something I'll be looking to in the future. Thanks.

Well, you can consciously make the choice to eat a damn sandwich, right? Then do it! It's one thing if you can't help the fact that you are hungry, but you know you need to eat, so do it. Do you wait for your house plants to write you a note to remind you to water them? No, because it's something that you know must be done. You don't necessarily need to come to a resolution as you seem to be trying to do. Time will provide that. There's no substitute for time as far as healing goes, but in the mean time stick to the basics and make sure the things that you can control in life are going well.

I love the double standard given to women. If we're opinionated and don't get phased and upset over things that are out of our control, i.e. love, relationships, life etc. then we're cold heartless biatches. Doesn't bother me one bit what someone who's never met me or had a convo with me thinks. Ignorant judgements are simply that.
