Have You Named Your Infiniti G?

Has anyone besides us named their Infiniti G?

We have always named our cars, and our family refers to them by name. “Let’s take Rocky!” or “Let’s take Max!” for example. This time we wanted a name beginning with either “I” or “G”.

Because our G37x has had a bit of a rough beginning on the road of life, we’ve dubbed him, “Gideon.” Why? The biblical Gideon was found hiding in a winepress when the Lord called him by his true name—Gideon—which means, “Mighty Warrior.” Far from convinced, it took Gideon a while to catch up to the accuracy and fact of it. But he did. . .and he was. (Judges 6,7,8)

Our platinum graphite Gideon is, we believe, a mighty road warrior. But, as elaborated on another thread, we’re working on convincing him a bit. We know we’re right; he’s just taking a little while to catch up.

I named my coupe Carmen....after my favorite stripper and the famous Carmen.......'cause of the curves and sexyness of her.

I had a name for mine and then I decommissioned the name because as soon as I named it, bad stuff started to happen to it. The name was St. G, the Patron Saint of Sex, but St. G for short after one of my friends.

I have always named my cars because I love them and they are part of our family.

My G37 is named Skyler. Partially after Skyler Green, partially because my salesman told me that in Japan they are called Skylines.

My Z28 is named Rambo.

My husband's truck is named Denzel.



I know I'm crazy, but I have always been good to my cars and they are good to me.

Personaly i feel that all machineas no matter how beastly they are must have a female name...

in saying that...mine is named Trixie.

never really named my cars... my old 1996 jeep sport was just "the jeep" to me and my homeboyz.... and was definatly a male... now my g35x is definatly a female... but i dont have a name... just "the X" or "the G"

but my gf calls the passager side seat "her throne"...

Yeah, I never named a vehicle up until I named my G. I think it is now evil to name cars and will never name a car again.

When I first got the G we called it Jappy. Now It's probably just called dirty girl. Lol.

If I had to name my G (and I think it deserves a name) I would call it China, it's getting more advanced technology all the time, and it's power is growing steadily each year.



Betsy, all my cars are called ol' betsy, I stroke the dash, and remind her how much I love her.

In the ghetto days, I would say" c'mon Betsy" "get me up the hill" or, OH NO!!! DON'T DIE ON ME NOW BETSY!!!!

My M is Maribel, but I don't call her that on a regular basis, I usually refer to her as "My Car" or "The M"

Maribel is kinda exotic and rare name, just like the Y34 M.

"My girl" or "baby"

The funniest moment was when I told my girlfriend that I was taking the dog for a drive, and how it will be nice to just be out with my 2 girls. She responded with "so we're going for a drive? Wait a minute...YOU WEREN'T TALKING ABOUT ME, YOU MEANT YOUR CAR!!!"

Atleast she's finally realizing she's the 3rd girl on my totem pole of ladies in my life.

It is a chick thing......my wife started it with our first Ford PU. Called Betsy and after that it was non-stop.....Every car had to be named. BMW 325i was called Bimmie. We did not name it the children of the past owners named it and my wife thought it would be bad luck to change it. Now our 528i is Maggie...yup you guessed it "my wife loves Rod Stewart. Now I can not drive that car....so I bought the G two weeks ago. Now this is my car no name right.....My wife calls it "Gzele". Happy wife happy life.
