Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

Don't know if you guys have seen this or not but I thought I send it over. Sorry if its a repost. I've seen here that some people here seem to think 350whp is the HP cieling.

he's one of the BYP guys. All I have to say is that he needs to provide a dyno sheet. I'm sure he got there but as much as he talks about his car being high horsepower on stock internals on the forums and internet, then he should show us some paper.

I'm skeptical of this guy. He didn't post a dyno sheet, nor did he describe his set-up with any detail. But I will say that 350 HP isn't necessarily the limit on a stock KA. In fact, I've seen no evidence of what the actual limit is yet. We know so far 377 HP is possible. But I don't define a limitation until I see that a roadblock is met at a particular level consistently.

i guess byp is at it again. they've always made claims of having these superhigh powered KA's with stock internals, but have never shown any actual proof.

Well that was a rather old thread we were linked to. Anyone know if there was a follow up thread after the dyno day they had?

I really doubt that, even with a t66 he would need to be in the 20+ psi range. Thats alot of stress on a motor, let alone a ka, with its weak ringlands.

what makes you think that they weren't running more than 20 psi?

No KA would handle that much power for any lengthened amount of time without some hardcore internals.
