seems like you've had a 'rough ride' with your CA18.At least, when your CAS, MAF, coilpack.... oh, and timing belt, head gskt, etc breaks, you'd have better CA18 parts availability vs RB.
An RB is a tough motor tho. Even stock they run stronger, sound sweeter and way smoother than the CA18 tho... good stuff for the money imo.
Miata can be monsters, but not plug 'n play..... not even close. $$$$
Don't we have a "resident CA18 magasquirt man" ?One shouldn't "need balls" as long as he's "holding your hand" (make sure its your hand he's holding and not your balls tho - lol).
D.I.Y. offers something similar for the toyota 4AG (u.s. distributor). They offer a plug n play miata version too incidently. We have a somewhat 'resident megasquirt man' for our 2.6 starions, that offer some spinoff. You can get fuel-only $495 or add $200 for ignition control. This path REALLY takes the sting out of megasquirting. They send you on your way with a base map. Some folks put down 3-450 ft-lbs tq to the tires not long after d.i.y. install & tune.Kinda 'short-cut' way that seen good results
