have questions on the K&N intake...... please help

i have a 2.5 coupe and im thinking of geting an intake from K&N.....i herd it doesnt void warrnty and im just wondering if it sounds differntly ...like has that kool air flow sound...not as good as the turbo....but a diffff sound and wndering if it take your MPG away...please help me out thnks

it sounds a lot better at high RPMs than stock. The only reason it makes you get less MPGs is because youre always gunning it to hear that sweet sound.

what bina said + at low RPM's can't really tell it's there

but when i revv da engine to show off t my friends with no money will it sound good? lol

any other intakes besides k&n that dnt void warranty? please post iff possible

Well the intake shouldnt void your warranty or cause you any problems. If something breaks take the intake off and put the stock airbox back on.

Go for the k&n man pull the trigger.

I love the way the intake sounds when i start my car in the morning.

You can hear that thing just sucking in air.

I wouldnt rev it when the car isnt moving, that sounds lame. But take that puppy up into the rpms and you will show them whats up...

well yestersay i got the intake and it sounds amazing i can feel a pull now that is sick,....

but i feel like its just eating gas like nuthing ..is it cause im revving it to much?

as said up there the reason why your getting crap mpg is b/c your reving it high to hear that sexy sound.

Yeah, you shouldn't be seeing much of a difference with MPG if you're driving it the way you almost would if you didn't have the intake (key word being almost of course). However, I did notice that after a couple thousand miles with an intake on, you'll start to lose power in acceleration..if that starts to happen just clean the fuel injectors..nothing different than if you had a stock air box..but I noticed the problem after I installed my K&N. Either way, the sound and power gain is worth the sacrifice in my opinion.
