have g35 , going to z

Hey there guys,i have a g35 and i'm thinking about going to the z because i don't have the 6sp and im still in my teens so im not to worried about the space right now, and i like the 300 hp =].So can anyone tell me how much the new 2007 nismo 350z is ? and can you tell me the big differences between them? so if you could help me out that would be nice

oh and has anyone go from the g to the z that could tell em if its the way to go cuz i mean if there really isnt a bigg difference i dont want to do it .

not sure if the G got the updated engine but assuming the newer G's continued to get the samew engine as the Z then the difference is minimal, the g weighs a little more but otherwise mechanical twins, so I doubt you'll find much difference, the newest Z got the 306 hp rating using the new standard which would be closer to 315 using the older standard measure, the early Z's and G's had only 287 hp so it's gona up about 10% which isn't bad

if you're in your teens and already driving a G35, price shouldn't be an issue for a nissan 350Z

I am/was actually cross-shopping the G35 coupe and the new Z. The G is obviously being updated so they haven't given it the new 300 hp engine with the upped torque specs. The biggest difference between the two of them is in the suspension since the Infiniti is still a sporty luxury car while the Z is meant to just be an out and out sports car. The gearbox and clutch have the exact same feel I've noticed from test drives recently. Since you would be going from an auto to a stick it'd be completely different for you though so drive one and see.
