Ok, I have fuel and spark on my SR and its a no go. The plug gaps are right, and the injectors click if I leave the ignition 'on' while turning the cas at the same time. Fuel pump is on and fuel is in the fuel rail. I fixed my cam timing (it was off by 6 teeth) just now and still no start. I started off with a billion codes, but after doing everything, I am down to a 12 and 34 (MAFS and knock sensor). I have no MAFS connector on my harness side, so I have a custom connector soldered onto the harness and mafs (could be messed up). As for the knock sensor, I don't think its plugged in. I don't know which plug goes into it, and I cant even get to the knock sensor in the first place to plug it in (wedged under intake mani against the block under all the hoses). Anyone have any ideas or suggestions for me for these last few problems? All it does is crank crank and crank some more.

prob 1. mafsprob 2. knock sensoroverall prob. engine wont start

The MAF and Knock sensor shouldn't cause it to not start. Try playing with the timing 'a lot' and see what that dose (pull both bolts out and try twisting it back and forth while cranking). You MIGHT have the CAS 180 off. If you have fire and fuel the only reason it wouldn't run is that it's happening at the wrong time or in the wrong 'ammounts'

So check timing and see if you can get it to at least sputter.

Ok, I will go back and mess with it as soon as I can. Although, I inserted the CAS like how it says in the FSM with the dots. I have tried moving the CAS around while someone else tried starting, no go. I'll try again.

The instructions on installing the CAS are misleading, you can go by what it says in the FSM and it will still be off since there are two possible TDC's. When I started up my new engine, I had to reinstall the CAS about 7 times (with the rotation) before I got anything remotely resembling a properly running engine. It was the same for me, I knew the fuel was being fed because I looked into the chamber and it was wet with fuel, so keep trying the CAS. MAFS will only make it run like crap but will still let it run (not for long). The knock sensor will have no effects on how the engine runs (or it shouldnt).

Heh, just remember my swap is a S13 Black into 95' 240SX. Experienced hands would be appreciated though, as my friends don't know ANYTHING about motors.

When I have time, I will just try taking it out, each time rotating it forward by one tooth and see if anything happens. I want this thing to at least STUTTER.
