About a month ago, I serviced the brake pads on my G50. I didn't open the bleeders on the ABS actuator however, so that I wound up blowing the seals inside of it as the fluid was being returned to the system through it when the caliper cyls were being pushed back in. Well a couple of days later, the ABS actuator body later bagan leaking something awful. I kept adding brake fluid to the reservoir as I didn't have time to really assess the damage I caused and was being told that it would cost $500-$1700 to either replace new or have refurb'd.When these cars are first started/ driven a few feet, the actuator is supposed to 'exercise' itself momentarily. THe driver will hear a slight whirring sound coming from it for a second. Well after a couple of weeks of doing this, I'm assuming that the seals reseated themselves (or something) from the 'exercises' over time, because it's definitely not leaking anymore. Just my luck? or just 'what a car!'?

It's not necessary to open the bleeder screws when pushing the caliper cylinders back in... the fluid just goes back into the master cylinder. Not sure what happened in your case, but glad it worked out! In AZ I assume you didn't have cold weather followed by hot weather? Typically bad actuators leak worse in cold ambient temperatures.
