dynamat is good stuff. Get the extreme type since it is thinner and works better than the original. Any tips, hmm, well just make sure the surface you're going to put it on is clean. You can try using rubbing alcohol to clean any oils that are on it since the oils make adhesion a real pain in the butt. Foam isn't as good and is also a pain in the butt to use as you've got to waste more time to get the stuff molded for less dampening. You can use polyfill in your box to get more oompf from your woofers. Also if you're looking for that bump in the trunk, you can try using a slit bandpass box although I'm not sure if anyone else but JL is using that slit enclosure for now.

thanx bro...i going go get all new panals in my trunk and im remove then...and trace them onto the dynamat and cut em ouu so they the same size, shape etc...actually bandpass boxes is not my best fan i do have a bandpass(in my basement)...but i replaced it with a sealed 2cubic ft...and it pounds.....bandpass cuts ur subwoofer life in 1/2 becuase the frequency waves are always fighting the other subs...well thanx man im give this dynamat a try might cost me an arm n leg...but i guess it will be worth it to hear CRISP BASS!!...and i did put polyfill in my box...its amazing....it absorbes the wasted frequency waves...which in turn gives it a better punch
