When your driving on the highway 50-60 mph a wind noise appears from the passenger side? I sounds like wind seeping in some where and I can't figure it out. It only happens in cold weather. Do you think it's the molding or just part of wind noise?

Its not as weird as Rockaway Borough where I live now. Grew up in Denville. I drive through Livingston every day on my way to work.

I wish! My car is so loud i would never be able to notice it... With all the rattles, road noise, exhaust drone... Nissans tend to suffer from random rattles and little noises

I noticed something similar on my 2012 Altima 3.5 SR 4 door. When it started getting cold last month, I heard slight wind noise coming from one of the windows when driving at highway speeds. I lowered all the windows slightly and raised them back up and that fixed the issue.

I also sometimes drive a 2003 Altima. During the winter that car sounds like a door is slightly open for the first 10-15 minutes of driving; it sounds like a door is closed enough to latch but not fully closed. The first few times it happened I stopped and opened/closed all the doors, raised/lowered the windows and opened/closed the sunroof but that didn't make a difference. It's probably just worn door gaskets because once the interior of the car is warm the noise is gone.

might be air coming in through your vents. i've noticed that even though i have all of my climate controls set to off i still feel airflow coming in.

^ Yeah same here. It's kind of annoying when it's already really cold or really hot, so I turn it off.. then I can still feel it coming through the vents. So I usually have to set it to the foot vents so I don't have to deal with it.

It could be your mirror i had some wind noise coming from there. Try removing the plastic piece thats on the inside and throwing some deadener in there. That could be it.

The Altima Coupe is definitely not a silent car on the inside thats for sure. Live with the noise, turn up the music, or purchase a new exhaust system so you have something nice to listen to! :)

I know exactly what you're talking about. Before mine was totalled, I had the exact same issue. It's the passenger side window pillar panel (to the left of the windshield when looking at the front of the car). I brought mine in under warranty for this. Even though I told them EXACTLY what it was, it still took them 224km and 3 days of road testing to diagnose and fix the problem. They packed the panel with some insulation and the noise was gone (until about 145km/h).

However, suspecting that the techs at the dealership would in fact take my car for a joy ride, I reset the max speed on my GPS and hid it in the glove compartment. They took it to 156km/h. I brought this up with the service manager and got a VERY sincere apology. I would have pushed the issue further, but the the GM is a bit of a family friend, haha.

The last post is exactly right, i was getting the noise at about 75mph and It took about 5 trips to the dealership and a stethoscope for them to figure this out. In addition the first time they tried to remove that molding that runs in the corner of the windshield and up to the roof and put basically strong adhesive tape in there and it helped a little but still would happen at speeds above 80mph. Only after they used the adhesive tape and a new molding peace did the noise go away.
