As we all know the Ka engine in stock form has poor 5.5k - 7k power. I bought a used 240sx convertible that was in decent shape and for some odd reason ever since I bought it, it has crazy high end. When it hits 5k it just takes off, enough to make the back end loose when it happens . It took me a while to care what caused this strange phenominom. Turns out that I have a loose belt that slips completely at high RPM without making noise though ocasionaly it will chirp. I'm calling it B-Tech as a joke but it works so well I don't feel like fixing it. I just thought it was funny and wanted to share.

I dont see how that would cause this power boost? sounds like you have a DOHC, that's how mine used to act. so I traded my fried for his SOHC. much better power range for me
