I have a 240sx, and i want alot of low end torque. but i cant decide on whether i want a VK45, VH45, or perhaps get something american like a 350. I am looking for horsepower somewhere around a total of 400. Anyone have an opinion on what i should put in it?

Well if you wanted a V8 that bad, I would say try to source a all LS1 to throw in there. Been done before so it is doable. Good power with gobs of torque, and 400 hp is a walk in the park for that motor. I have personally thought of going with a v8 out of some of the newer chevys that have the displacement on demand. Get the power of a v8 when you need it and then it goes to 4cyl mode to conserve gas when your cruising.

I personally have an LS1 in my S14 (video in my sig), but there are other choices that are a pretty good fit for the S chassis.
