hatchback won't latch?

Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum, and am looking for help with my '08 Versa. The rear hatch won't latch.

The power locks seem to work, and there is a little servo behind the latch that rotates left and right, but the latch doesn't move, like it's stuck 'open'

Has anyone experienced this problem before, and can you recommend a fix?

Haven't heard of that before.Seems like a trip to the dealer is in order.

When it's cold out I have the same problem. I figured it out...the rubber seals are stiff and the air pressure in the car keeps the rear hatch up a bit, as it can't compress the seal around the hatch. remedy...... open any of the other doors and then close the hatch! It works for me.
