Does anyone else with a hatchback have a problem with water leaking into the trunk? Ive tried to find the leak but it is not in the seal. Any suggestions?

wait for a dry day and pour small amount of water down drain channels.mine leaks through a metal seam. i assume the seam was welded. use a flashlight and touch to detect the water.

My hatch leaked too and it wasn't through the trunk seal. It was coming through the tail light seal.

I had the same problem and it was comming through the tailights. Caulk those bad boys up and the reverse lights. Solved the problem for me.

yeap, it's covered in http://www.240sx.org FAQs section for using window-weld strip of windshield sealer to re-do those things...

my leak was same as vancouver's

Yeah mine was at the tail lights as well. that 3m caulking strip stuff, the black strips work wonders.

mine wasnt the tail light seals, it was in one of the metal seams. i just silconed the heck outta everything. wait for a dry day, get in your hatch with it shut with a flashlight and have a friend pour water over the hatch.

mine was metal seams as well. i used black goop to seal it on the inside. To seal it from the outside , id have to remove the lights to gain access.

I have this problem, I noticed after we had 2-3 days of rain the carpet in my hacth on the passenger side was wet.

Don't think it was the hatch seal....maybe I'll check what you guys are saying. When you say check the tailights, am I taking the light housing out? am I getting at it from the inside?
