Hatch wiper assembly removal

Well, I've searched the forum but didnt come up with the answer.

I want to remove my rear wiper assembly and all that but i cant remove it...I took out all the screws but it looks like the long screw that connects to the wiper is holding it in place. Also, after I remove it, what should I use to cover the hole? Thanks

There is a nut on the shaft similar to that of your antenna nut. you need to remove that to get the assembly out. You could use a rubber body plug to cover the whole or bondo it up.
