hatch will not open!

hey i was just wondering if there is another way to open the hatch. the release cable is broken or something and the key doesn't work anymore

I'm not sure if this applies to hatchbacks, but this happened on my coupe. My key doesn't work anymore either, and I mistakenly flipped the 'remote release' switch in the trunk(prevents the level in the front from working, theft deterrant). Anyways, crawl into the trunk and look for a switch, facing you. Flip it upwards, try release again. Unfortunately our cars don't have an emergency release in the trunk, so if this doesn't work you might have to fiddle with the latch to get it to release.
