Hatch Removal Questions

Sorry for the noobish question, but what is the easiest way to remove the hatch on the 240sx? I'm needing to replace my rusted craptastic hatch with a new one and just wanted to know the easiest way to do it without messing up the hatch dampers. Please do not flame either.

Not sure if it is the best way but it worked for me.

1- unbolt dampers from hatch leave connected to car.
2- unbolt the hinges from the body
3- disconnect wires while pulling it up

Thats really the only way I know of. I would just do body work on the hatch. Works out well.
