Hatch Removal/Installation

I am tired of looking at my rusted out hatch and warped spoiler. There is a hatch with no spoiler no wiper at the local junkyard. My questions are when removing it do I just cut the wires for the 3rd brake light, and defroster and splice them together or is there a plug in clip? My second question is about the wiper on my car i want to still be able to use it should I remove it from my hatch and just place it in the trunk, until I can get it installed by an auto body shop? I tried searching and could not get a clear answer.Thanks!!

Also one last question where are these wires located? Anybody that has done this project any help will be greatly appreciated!!Help Please!!
