I know they came with them, but what I'm trying to find out is if you can just take the power sunroof and install it on a hatch with a popup sunroof?I'd really like to do this swap but I'm not sure if it's feasable or not.

Also, Its more then a hole in the roof. The area around the roof has a tapered lip, then there is the mounting points, which are welded to the roof support, drain lines, headliner, yada yada yada.It wont come out right, unless you buy a roof section and cut/weld it in.

Already searched and came across that thread and it obviously answered nothing. I already stated that I currently have a sunroof so I don't get why you're telling me this stuff about it being more than a hole in the roof? Thanks anyway for the help, dunno why you had to go and put ibtl though as if this is an everyday topic that has been coverd with a definitive answer before.

So the power sunroof roof panel is actually different than the pop up sunroof roof panel?

he's asking if power moon roof and manual sunroofs are the same size. all you're doing is describing what a sunroof hole consists of

stripes- the power moon roof is smaller so it would take a lot of work to convert from manual to power

Seriously man, you need to learn how to read and interpret because you are obviously the one who is not understanding. I wouldn't get defensive if you didn't act like a prick from the start for no reason. Thanks anyway.

no prob. just incase you still want to try something, its about as wide (side to side) as a manual one, but its noticeably skinnier (back to front) then the manual

What about this didnt say that it would be complicated???? It says right above there that the best way to do it is to cut out the roof and weld in a used panel. I have tried to be decent about this and I found all of the info that I am telling you from other threads about this subject, and by searching.

Of course they are different. The power setup is going to sit more flush in the closed position. Which is the reason for the tapered edge and the difference in hole size. If you are going to do this then also involved is...
