Hatch Owners Question!

Did any of the hatchback 240s come with an electric sliding sunroof or is that only in the coupes. What options were exclusive to any one model? (like power doorlocks and miirors)

I think I read in a thread yesterday that only coupes came with the elec sunroof.

Thats one of the many comforts I loved about my coupe. Can anyone else give me something to roll with. Soon enough Ill be buying another 240 to replace the one that was stolen, so Im looking at what factory options I can get.

right now my sunroof is manual, but the door locks/windows/mirrors are power. eventually i am installing a power sunroof.

The one thing I dont understand if the coupe is a xe model and the hatch is a se whats special about the 89-94 se.

well i dont know what exactly what is special between the fastback and coupe... i like both, both have there own "special looks"

the only thing for sure that i know why the hatch is special is because i own one :P

Stuff that was available with certain 'SE' models such as VLSD, & HICAS were only available on the fastbacks. ABS was an option on both cars, although cars with the aforementioned lsd, and hicas have abs too. There are rare "LE" trimlines that feature leather interiors as well.

The SE = Hatch and XE = Coupe thing is only true for the pignoses, when there were no good options available. The Hicas models only came out when they have the DOHC and were only available as hatches, as mentioned. And only coupes had the electrice sunroof and HUD.

i miss my rear wiper on the hatch... but i like my coupe because i can see where the trunk ends

hud kicks ***.... but only if it works. and my sunroof was a popup, not an electric (damn aftermarket bs)

anyone know if you can add the coupes HUD to the hatch?

note: not the dash cluster, just the display that is on the dash.

the projector is controlled by the dash cluster, so you need both, or some custom work inside the dash to have a hybrid setup. i have a digital cluster and HUD in my hatch, works perfectly.

theres probly not many with both out there, but basicly you would have to take out the part that controlls the hud and put it behind your dash and extend and t in all the wires, I have the hud and I like the part on the cluster the best, plus the tach is right in the middle, and the projected part is to damn low in my opinion if it where higher it would be alot better, from my perspective its just above the headlight with them down and often in the sun you cant see it.

look for hud cluster and subharnesses... they come up once in a while on ebay. swap is really simple, plug and play. make sure the engine corresponds with yours though (sohc with sohc, dohc with dohc.

i swapped mine from digi to analog... hopefully i can fix my digi, and if i do, back in it goes
