Hello guys those who have a nissan 240SX between 89-93 hatch back. Rear hatch door upper corner leaks. I don't know what to do I already put silicon on that area and it still leaking!!! this is really getting me mad. When is raining hard I feel that I will drown inside of my car. I make a drawing so you guys can see it and this will happen to everyone sooner or later cuz I bought another 240sx for pieces and I looked that area and it is very critical at the point that the back seats have rust cause of the water. I hope a sooner answer.

If you really want to get rid of the problem, get new weather stripping from nissan, silicone seal all questionable areas, and check behind your tailights too, they leak on mine, and caused me all kinds of confusion.

Or possibly source another hatch that could be in better condition.

EDIT: I was looking at your drawing backwards. It is strange that water leaks in from the top, usually it leaks in from the back.

I might check this week in Nissan Ambar Motor for that silicone. When you have time try to remove those 2 rear large plastic covers from beside and you will probably see at least in one or both sides with some rust in the chasis. I had problems before with the leak near the tail light but I use silicone and problem solved. I hope I can solve this one too.

Thanks & Regards
