NICE!!! I was in the very same situation....I changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter first, and then it started crankin, but u definitely need gas, I was going to the gas station with a gallon container and doing gas runs back and forth, got about 4 gallons in and started to crank itAt first it cranked and then the pistons started firing it up, so you hear the engine. Finally it started after 5-6 cranks and it was like a movie, dust blew out from the front of the engine (hood was open) and the car started upHad a clicking sound (probably a stuck valve) and then added some new engine oil, did not change old one yet.But that should be your next step...Change the oil!~!!! I also put in a can on "Engine Restore for 4 Cyclinder Engines" and let the oil and engine restore do its work for about a few weeks idling , starting the engine.
I am currently still working on it, let me know if we can help each other diagnose things! cuz i still have some problems here and there....for one, i get bad mileage, about 15-17 (mix of local and highway)Ran on 87 when fixing it, and now running on 93!
