Hasent Started in 6 years!

I replaced the batt, changed gas, cleaned a rats nest out of the intake, cranked over not stating. Fuel pump makes a noise for like 5 secs. i guess thats normal. idk spark plugs are new fires idk what to do! and i really need it running soon oh Yea Its a 1989 240sx stock! Just bought it for 150$! HELPPPP MEH PLEASE And Thank you!

k i just bought some starter fliud it fired up, for a few. should i put 93 in the tank.

no 87 will work just fine

87 will indeed work, but if you can afford it, put at least 91. The computer was designed for it, and if you get any knocking, the computer will pull timing on you.

Turns out it was the fuel pump. so im waitig on the part to come in and here is some pics of her!

NICE!!! I was in the very same situation....I changed the fuel pump and the fuel filter first, and then it started crankin, but u definitely need gas, I was going to the gas station with a gallon container and doing gas runs back and forth, got about 4 gallons in and started to crank itAt first it cranked and then the pistons started firing it up, so you hear the engine.Finally it started after 5-6 cranks and it was like a movie, dust blew out from the front of the engine (hood was open) and the car started upHad a clicking sound (probably a stuck valve) and then added some new engine oil, did not change old one yet.But that should be your next step...Change the oil!~!!! I also put in a can on "Engine Restore for 4 Cyclinder Engines" and let the oil and engine restore do its work for about a few weeks idling , starting the engine.

I am currently still working on it, let me know if we can help each other diagnose things! cuz i still have some problems here and there....for one, i get bad mileage, about 15-17 (mix of local and highway)Ran on 87 when fixing it, and now running on 93!

first change your 02 sensor if your still getting bad mileage check for elaky injectors
