I have my car at the dealer and they want to charge $85 to program my key and say there is no way to do it without the machine. I tried this once and didn't get it to program, but I don't know if I was doing it wrong or not.
Has this key programming worked for anyones 03/ 04 M45 ?

I was able to get mine to work. However, it will not start the car. The remote will program to unlock the doors tho. I use the metal key as my spare inside that programed (door/trunk only) remote.

Correct it will not start the car. My dealer charged $25 to program both keys to the car.

Dang... You got over... My dealership here in PA charged me $117 to program three keys for my '04 M45

Unfortunately(sp), my car only came with one key and the dealer here in Albuquerque wants $95. Not sure exaclty what I'm getting for $95. I've yet to purchase a new key, so..........
