Has the Fast Idle Cam (FIC) ever failed?

Has the Fast Idle Cam (FIC) ever failed on any of the thousands of Q45's ever built?

The service manual seems to think that it can fail and I bet if anyone has seen a failure it would be Dennis or any other big Infiniti Q45 repair shop.

I do mean of course outside of adjusting the screws on the Throttle Body.

Thermostats fail open on Nissan from what I have read so I see no reason why the FIC (Which is used to warm up the car, Instead of depressing the accelerator) can't fail
