As a prospective owner of an 3.5L Altima Coupe, I've been doing extensive research and I see that many VQ35s have had oil burning issues. To see more about this issue, try these links:http://g35driver.com/forums/sh...10973h ... t=232332In a nutshell, you can read lots about the VQ35's oil burning issues in just about any G35, 350Z or Maxima forum. Anyone know if Nissan has resolved this issue?

I have never heard about it happening on the newer model Altima's. I don't think anyone on this forum has experienced it yet. If it has been an ongoing problem, I'm pretty sure Nissan resoved it by now.

Yes. The new VQ is the same block as the older one, but has different internals and intake manifolds. It was somewhat redesigned to handle that problem.
