If so, curious to know how the experience was for you.

I'm looking to buy a Titan S king cab 4x4 and was looking through True Car. Only real problem I see with True Car is that you can add accessories/options like you could with Nissan's website. I don't want a lot for accessories/options, but there are a couple key ones I would like that I can't get through True Car.

So, if you've used it, have some secret tips or any other pertinent info let me know as I'd like to get the best deal possible, if possible.

Thanks in advance, all!

I used it as a guide to help a friend lease a Jeep. It revealed the chasm of difference between transaction prices and sticker/MSRP.

Didn't use it to make the purchase but did use it to set realistic targets for negotiation.

I used it to get a price on a car. The dealership wouldn't honor it, and Truecar sent my contact info to two other dealers, one of whom is still harassing me months after I already bought a different car from somewhere else. It was useless.

Seems to me like you're better off showing up the last day of the month and pulling the super j00 card. If they don't take it, then walk away... Especially for a new (or new-ish) car that's easy to get ahold of (like a Titan)...

I went with my ex gf to buy a convertible on Dec 31.... I think we got them down off their price like 4k, almost wasn't worth it though because we were literally at the dealership for like 4-5 hours... :(

That seems like the norm, unfortunately.

What kind of convertible?

I did all my negotiating on the new car via email. Walk in, sign, see F&I, walk out with a car. Twas glorious. 10/10 would do again.

Same here. I fired off emails all over the country.

Unfortunately, I picked the wrong time of year to buy a Miata. They kept disappearing from the market just as I was making offers.
