Has anyone used the Nissan 15208-55Y00 oil filter?

Sometime last year, I ended up with 8 Nissan 15208-55Y00 (Made in Japan) oil filters. Actually the filters came with the Stillen Bar package.

The filter is cut away and reviewed at BITOG -- link below.

Has anyone use these filters? My regular filter preference is Wix or Pure1 but since I have 8 of these should I use them with M1?

Sure, use them! While the 15208-60u00 was originally the filter specially designed for the G50 and 300zxturbo models,when Nissan discontinued making them,they recommended the 55y00 as a suitable replacement. I would think the Pure 1 is a "better" filter {My filter of choice} I would have no problem using the 55Y00 if they were already sitting in my garage!

I have some too... I used them on my old '97 Hardbody.

I think they're fine filters... not as good as the great late 60U00, but plenty good. I feel sure they're way better than the made in china filters Nissan sells now. I have abandoned factory filters for the Pure One myself... although the Q is still getting the M1 filters I bought from Joe several years ago.

Amazon occasionally has great sale prices on them too. I think I paid less than $5 each delivered last time! You want part #24457,usually about $7-8 at auto zone/advance/pepboys when not on sale.
