I was thinking of getting some ramps so I could peak underneath my G, and change my own oil, and so on. I am just afraid with the car being sooo low, and very little ground clearance, I will get stuck, or worse yet, rip the bottom of my car apart driving up them.

Has anyone used them? If so, any particular brand I should look for. Thanks

I use Rhino ramps on my G's.

Also, I used to have a cobra coupe that I lowered and couldn't even get the floor jack under the front. So, I used a couple of 2x8. I would drive up on the 2x8's and could get the jack under it.You can do the same thing with ramps. Put a couple of 2x8's in front of it.OR, you can jack it up and lower it on the ramps.......putting the 2x8's in front of it is easier.

You should have tried driving it into a wall...it may have corrected that problem.

The black is beautiful. Actually, that bodystyle is the the only one since the classic ponycar days that is acceptable to me...hate the new "revised classic" look of the stangs.

I use ramps but I use a 3 ton hydraulic jack to jack up each side of the vehicle & place the ramp under each front wheel. I can raise my G35 high enough so when it is time to rotate the tires I can get both the front & rear wheels off the ground with the jack at the front jack point. (See owners manual)

Hint! If you are going to rotate your tires use a 21mm deep 1/2 drive socket to loosen the lug nuts prior to raising the vehicle.

I went to Advance Auto and bought a pair for $30, I believe. No clearance problem with my 07 G.

As long as it's not lowered, you'll have no problem using standard plastic ramps available at Autozone/Advanced auto. When you do change your oil, do yourself a favor and remove the plastic air shroud first...

I use ramps that I made from a couple of 2.5 x 10s in a stepped fashion. (Old lumber, larger sizes.) Made them for my old 91 Legend because it was too old for my old style steel ramps.
