I keep a full size jack in the car, just in case of a tire issue (i've never trusted an OEM jack for any manufacturer), but it kind of bounces around with an audible thunk anytime I make a turn. I'd like to get some kind of system to lock it in place, and i'm curious to see what people here have used - the pictures of the OEM trunk organizer are not that helpful, so I'm not quite sure how useful it is.

Honestly...I'd just use a bungee cord and strap it into the existing cargo net tow hooks. No experience with the tray myself.

I use the Infinti trunk net from my old '06 M45 - I think it is the same exact design as for the M37 (it uses the same upper and lower attachment points) to keep my full size umbrella and the occasional bag or two of groceries that I sometimes put in the trunk.

I have changed A LOT of tires and never had an issue with an OEM jack of any make. I use a floor jack for maintenance but for an emergency tire change never had a problem with the POS the manufacturers give you.

Glad you've been lucky, but i've seen cases where the OEM jack gives way (not necessarily infiniti, but i've generally decided not to take my chances). I'd rather keep a full size than run the risk.

I have never seen a OEM jack fail when being used correctly on a vehicle of the weight it was intended for. What I have seen is them tip over if the cars tires are not chocked allowing the vehicle to move a little or a lot forward or backward especially if the e-brake is not engaged. Make sure you have some wheel chocks. I found some collapsible OEM Nissan ones at a local junkyard while there for something else and got them cheap. Floor jacks are more forgiving of human error since they have a larger foot print and can move with the vehicle.

That said do you really mean a full size floor jack (THIS), or is it a mini floor/trolley jack (THIS)? A full size is huge, heavy, and very overkill, IMO of course.

I use the OEM jacks, so those stash well in the designated places.

Although I don't have a hydraulic jack in my trunk, whenever I'm transporting rigid or heavy objects that might move around, I put them in a strong box, a milk crate or one of the cheap duffel bags I have gotten from goodwill.
Not a one-size-fits-all by any means, but I find that unless I'm driving like Ken Block, these tend to stay planted better than having something rolling around untethered in the trunk, especially something with wheels.

Now here's the wild side:
If your trunk sees a lot of utility and you don't think the OEM accessory organizer is up to the task, you might consider a variation of what I did to secure my subwoofer in a previous vehicle.
I bought some sturdy plywood from Lowe's and traced the trunk mat over it. Then I sawed along the line, making it a little smaller than the template, and made it in 2 pieces so that I could incorporate a hinge to access the spare tire and OEM jacking tools. Plus I think it wouldn't get in the trunk as one piece anyway,

Put the trunk mat away to save it, or keep using it if you please, and you can screw some strips of wood down to box permanent stuff in... or you can build something with taller sides to keep your jack from rolling around.
