I wouldnt consider that manifold new. That manifold has been out for a long time. It has the same design of the oem manifold so you get to keep a lot of the torque. With other tubular manifolds you loose a lot of low end power. I still think 600-700 dollars is pretty steep for a tubular manifold. Peak performance has a really nice manifold for around 400 dollars. And even megan racing at 200 dollars or so is an effective upgrade. Many people have had pretty good luck with them as long as you have a flex pipe in your exhaust system.

Just like any other product, some will have better luck than others. A flex section is just preventive maintanance.

I've had mine (Tomei) for about a year and a half, before they got to the U.S. I can't really tell the difference in performance, but I did have a MR and it lasted me about 6 months before it cracked. But the full race is alot better in my opinion.
