uhh

advantages - lighter, easier to spin, cheaper tires

disadvantages - easier to spin, might be ugly, traction issues, not bling.

there is no "trying" to put a 14" wheel on your car, you just find one that matches up with the hub, and has the correct bolt pattern and offset, and put it on.

i run 14s, but that's because it's the only full set of wheels with good tires i have. 14x6 with a +10 offset or something like that, tires are a little short, 205/60-14. it gives the car some fender gap even though my car is dumped. with 16" gram lights with taller tires there was no fender gap, it actually tucked a little. when i turn hard there's not much bodyroll (coilovers, sway bars, stbs) but i can feel the tires rolling over because of the massive sidewall.

there's one nico member who was talking about getting some 14x8's for the front of his S14, don't know if he did yet.

even on 15" wheels I think the sidewall flex is ridiculous- and that's with good, stiff sidewalled tires. But, yeah, sultan didn't seem to have too many problems running 14" wheels. It's possible, but steering feel, response, and good tire choices go out the window.

the es100 comes in 205/60-14, but it's pricey (for a 14) at $75 each. if you want 14's get 14x8 or larger and those tires. unless you want to run super short tires you need to stretch the 205/60 onto a wide rim.

if tire sizes/selection didn't suck so bad i would get some 14x10s.
