instead of purchasing new output flanges/axles, has anyone tried joing the stock axles with the donor cars CV joint? This seems like a much cheaper option, but I dont know if anyones tried it or not. I dont see why it wouldn't work seeing as how the spider assemblies in most CV joints are very similar in size...

I did this when I installed my z32 vlsd into my s13.

I had bought the 300zx rear subframe, and I experimented using the 300zx inner cv joint, with s14 axles.

The only difficult part is welding the 300zx's inner race(I think that's what it's called) to the s14 axle. You have to weld them because the z32's splines are too big for the s14's axle....

The s13 axles should work the same way...

I also did a write-up with pictures and everything, but I lost my hosting, so it's not on the web... I'll try to re-upload it soon though.
