I am thinking before i put the 17s back on since its warming up maybe putting a 3 or 5 mm wheel spacer set on with a wider stance i can get even better handling and know i could pioneer and use nismo 240sx longer studs if need be but, i don't want it too far i just want them real close....

I put spacers on mine (I have 17's also). My wheels are flush with the line of my car. I love it and think it looks good.

I'm going to say something dumb... but I read about somebody doing this...

Please, if you get spacers, don't let Wal*Mart touch your wheels... even if they swear they know what they're doing.

Bad things will happen. The interwebs said so.

You might encounter wiggle with spacers, I have. Need to toe my tires in a bit.

Although going from 145R12LT to a 205/45ZR16 with 8mm spacers is much more substantial.

Before anyone jumps on the anti-spacer safety bandwagon, I'd like to point out that spacers are widely and commonly used on rock crawler rigs. If they can take that punishment, they can take normal street use on an econocar.

I actually did 15mm. The wheels I got were 17x7.5.
