I doubt its fake. My guess is it is purely instructional.

In order to program or watch anything, you have to be in park right?

Its a wire or two that must be grounded such as when you are in this condition. By wiring a ground switch to the appropriate wires and splicing i bet you can do this very simply.

But, my guess is that you are buying the intelligence and instructions only.

Also, if you're doing this so you can use your NAV while driving. Cool. If you're doing it so you can watch a DVD, I hope you crash you G into a pole and not a pedestrian.

The world is distracting enough as it is, adding a movie doesn't help.

I know for a fact that many provinces (in canada) are starting to ban hand-held cell phones while driving because of the inherent danger they pose by causing driver distraction. I can't even imagine the "clown" that plans on "watching" a dvd while driving?!?!?!

Thanks for the kind wishes. I am interested in being able to enter a destination in my NAV while moving. Can the G even play DVDs at all? If so how?

He has a rating of 99.9% and has 696 positive remarks out of 752 sales. So I would say it may be the sucks that he is selling instructions, it may be valid.

There was a thread about how to reprogram your Nav on here somewhere. I don't remember if it was in Maxima, or here. Someone tried what was posted in that thread, and it worked, but you had to do it every time you started the car, IIRC.

In Washington State, June 1, 2008 it will be a primary offense for me to drive with a phone in my hand. Right now, they can only ticket you for the phone if you are pulled over for something else. However 06/01, they will be able to pull you over just for the phone. Bluetooth will be legal though.

Same thing for CA, only it starts 7/1/08. Also, you can't smoke in a car, even with the windows down, if there is a minor in the car. Both are great ideas.
