nissan put a restricter butterfly in the intake that opens up at wot after 4000rpm. has anyone ever taken this restricter plate out or bypassed it by clamping it open.

There's posts in here that tell how to remove them, you would need a plate to cover the hole though.

New cars are designed with drivability, mileage(mpg), engine life in mind and not performance...Thats why (sometimes) aftermarket tunes, intakes, exhausts can show some performance gains....
