has anyone tried tapping the trunk pin?

I hate that the car does not have a dash indicator light that tells you your trunk is open. I've driven around with it open a couple times, and even have left it parked with it open. Has anyone tried this? I've done it before on my integra for an alarm. I was thinking of tapping some where along the trunk light wire and running it to one of the rear door pins.

I don't see why you can't do this. I will say the Nav equipped G's warn you on the nav screen if the trunk is open and you start to drive.
