Has anyone tried these K&N air filters before? If so what do you think?

I have one on my 2000 qx4 and put them on most of my vehicles if I plan on keeping it. They do a great job and last forever unless it gets soaked in water (like some of the guys on this site are proned to do...)

I'd recommend it, if you are keeping the vehicle.

I agree with everyone here, fantastic. Been in all my vehicles that didnt have intakes in the past 10 years or so.

I posted a similar quation a few days earlier but related more to the cold air intake kits. Any of you K&N users had any experience with the kit or know of others who have? My main question is are they worth the $300?

I cant say how good they are for the Pathfinder, they dont make one for the 3.3. Have a Jimbo Wolf Pop Charger with a put together Spectre intake and I like it.

I do have one of the original K&N FIPK's for my Explorer. Definitely recommend it. Made extremely well, everything bolted up perfectly. Sounds great, looks great, added some oomp especially with Flowmaster Force II mandrel bent Cat Back.

I am a fan of intakes and catbacks together.

I've got one on my pathfinder after awhile it pays for itself by not having to replace filters.

It sounds better and looks better

not sure about the gains such as HP and MPG but your driving a guzzler so that shouldn't be much of a concern but it definitely didn't get worse

I have been cleaning the mud out of mine with water for a long time...are you not supposed to use water?? it says not to use air pressure either..
