Has anyone tried non-OEM transmission filters (WIX, NAPA-gold)?

I took a close look at NAPA-gold and OEM (one that came off my Old Lady) and didn't find significant differences between two. OEM has a raised pick up lip NAPA doesn't. Wire mesh (filtering media) is as close to each other as it can be. One thing about gasket, made out of cork material. Not a big deal, I always use high-tack adhesive anyways when installing gaskets (Chrysler habbit). I would like to hear pros and cons !Thanks!

Don't try and save a few bucks on the transmission, it's too expensive.

Use the OEM part, the transmission is too sensitive to take risks.

And the parts are relatively inexpensive from Joe. Why gamble?
