Has anyone tried a T4/T04R on their KA-T?

I've never heard of anyone using one, but I've driven a Supra with this turbo on it. Boost threshold was high at about 4500 RPM. It would start to accellerate quickly a bit sooner as it started building boost, but from my observation of the boost gauge and Tach, the threshold was at about 4500 to hit 14 psi. I will say though, that it pulled of 450HP at the wheels. Considering the factory turbos make 320 at the crank at 12 psi(IIRC) the efficiency is amazing. THe tubular mani probably made up quite a bit of the power as well as the factory manifolds are quite restrictive, but the turbo's efficiency is quite nice. Unfortunately I do not have a compressor map for it on hand, but I'd speculate it may not match well with a KA. The boost threshold would be higher on the KA as well.

But you can speculate on how it might work on a KA if you know a little something about turbos. I stated my observations on a 2JZ and some speculation on how it would work on KA.

Or how about you actually provide some real input to the thread instead of harping on someone else's attempt to help out a poster....
