Has anyone traded in their 2.5 for a 3.5?

I am looking into trading my 2008 2.5 coupe for an 08 3.5 coupe. Has anyone done this? How much do you guys think this will cost me?

not enough info...how many miles on your 2.5, how much you owe, new or used 3.5, and what options will the 3.5 have

It has 21000 miles, convenience package, and leather seats. I would get a used 3.5 with or without convenience package.

You are undoubtadly going to take a large hit for this, probably several thousand dollars....

If its something you really want to do though, and you can justify the extra couple thousand, than go for it!

Bought mine new back when they first came out, 28G sticker, but went through costco for 25G plus a 6g trade in . . . in the end was only 21 financed, but hey, still stickered for 28

yea they were 28 when they first came out. but they have gotten cheaper since than plus I will get a used one.

wtf? my 3.5se was stickered at 24 something, almost 25k. plus tax and license fees and everything, we ended up paying like 29k. but 28k for a 2.5S? was it fully loaded with tech package and everything? i got mine on the 4th of July 07. said i wanted a silver stick shift 3.5se and all they had was my current car.... 2 weeks later they get a silver stick shift 3.5se with premium package and it was like 28k plus tax and license fees.

yea I didnt realize you said you paid 28 for a 2.5. I bought my 2.5 when they first came out as well and only paid 22500.

I bought my 08 2.5 for 20 grand on May 1st 09. Best deal ever? Probably not, but once I drove it, I didn't care! I got them down from 22 that they were asking, so I felt OK about the whole deal. It had 27k on the odo. I have everything, tech pack, conv./prem. pack, leather etc. Sunroof, All options/goodies, and I love that back up camera for parking in tight spots on the street.

SO, I see A/C 2.5 new at the dealer with same options as mine for 30,500! Thats why I bought used. I have seen a basic 2.5 for 23 grand, cloth, hubcaps, basic stereo, but have never seen a 3.5 for less than 28 grand here in So. California. Keep your 2.5, you gotta love the gas mileage! I know I do, going from my Frontier CC to the 2.5 has been great. And no one asks me to help them move their crap anymore! I saw a new 370Z for 30 grand, with the 6spd manual....just a thought...

My car was about 25k in late October of 2008. 2.5 with alloy wheels and kickplates.

KBB says my car is worth just short of 20k with 30,000 miles on it, which is only a 5-6k hit from new

3.5 stick with 20000 miles is about 25k (according to kbb) so that's cool

I thought about trading in for a 3.5 stick about a year ago but I love my car and it's a wonderful DD, I am planning on starting to fix up a 280z that has been sitting in my uncles garage for years so I can have the stick in there

Ya I noticed I drive A LOT but whatever I love it. I just bought a fixed gear bike (spent more than I wanted but it came out beautifully) so now I just commute down to where I hang out (either 5 or 10 miles depending on where I stay the night before) and just ride my bike until I go home.

I have been keeping a log on my miles since Jan 1 of this year, I wasn't planning on hitting 30k until December but whatever
